Hoping to turn a loved one into a full-fledged bird nerd? Looking to sharpen your bird identification skills? Just need a bird-related excuse to visit the Milwaukee County Zoo? Join us for the second year of this fun event!

We love new birders! As always, birders of all skill levels are welcome and we have child- and adult-sized binoculars available for those who’d like to borrow a pair.

What to Expect

We will meet indoors to review birding basics and fly through the indoor Aviary and other areas of the Zoo to work on birding skills including tools that are helpful, field marks to watch, and how to make birding a truly enjoyable hobby.

  • Free Admission!

  • Free Parking: Each participant should complete registration separately unless carpooling. If carpooling, include all names of participants below. You will receive a confirmation letter with a barcode for parking to your email.

    • There is also free parking along Wisconsin Avenue that is an easy walk to the zoo.
