August is a great time to check the beaches along Lake Michigan. Shorebirds, gulls, and terns are beginning their fall migration. Songbirds are still abundant. Who knows what else we might see!
We will meet at the southeast corner of the large parking lot at the beach. If the lot is full (it shouldn’t be), there is an overflow lot on Hawthorne Avenue across from the Grant Park Club House. We will bird the inlet of Oak Creek, the South Milwaukee Yacht Club if it is open, and the beach.
